Recently my mind has been going round in circles. “I want to live as sustainably/greenly as I can, but I don’t have much money!” is the main thing. And when I say not much money, I mean the “can I afford to buy this cup of coffee” variety. I want a fridge stuffed full of amazing organic ingredients, but it often comes down to money or desire vs. ethics. I don’t want it to! and yet it does.
My name is Rosie and I’m an artist and crafter from England who has been living in Copenhagen, Denmark for nearly 3 years. Before coming here I lived for a few years at the Findhorn Foundation eco-village and community in northern Scotland, where I worked in the community kitchen and communications department, learning about and promoting sustainable living, as well as being part of a thriving community and workshop center. Currently working full time in a fullfilling but low paid job, I’m trying to carve out a creative, sustainable and (most importantly!) HAPPY life.
I started this blog to share my journey with sustainable living on a budget and also for creative green project ideas. This will probably be mostly kitchen and craft project related, as well as looking at questions around sustainable living on a low income. Looking forward to sharing this journey with you!
